Aburi Girls Senior High School
As a Presbyterian institution, the school’s religious practices are based on Presbyterian traditions. However, there is no discrimination against non-Presbyterians in the school’s admission policy. It is expected, however, that all students will take full part in the religious activities of the school and conform to accepted moral standards and codes of behavior. The school expects the full support and co-operation of parents and guardians in the achievement of these objectives.

Bepow So Hann
"Bepow So Hann" (sometimes written Bepo So Hann) is the motto of the Aburi Girls Senior High School (ABUGISS), meaning "Light on the Hill," reflecting the school's location on the Akuapem mountains and its goal to be a guiding beacon of excellence, often paired with "Nyame ne Hene" (God is King). It signifies shining brightly as a light for others, a core value for the school and its alumnae.
Aburi - Akuapem Mountains
The Aburi Mountains are a scenic range in Ghana's Eastern Region, part of the Akwapem-Togo Range, known for their cool climate, lush greenery, and attractions like the Aburi Botanical Gardens, offering nature walks, cultural sites, and adventure activities like ATV tours, making it a popular escape from Accra.
